Nutrition During Treatment

Nutritional Counseling

Nutrition is an important part of your cancer treatment and recovery. Nutritional guidelines for someone with cancer can be very different from the usual suggestions for healthy eating. Our registered dietitians help patients maintain body weight, strength, fight infection and manage side effects during cancer treatment with personalized nutritional counseling.

Nutrition During Cancer Treatment is a class that provides patients and their support persons with the information and tools to better manage side effects that may arise during cancer treatment.  The class meets the third Thursday of the month from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the corner conference room at PeaceHealth United General Medical Center.  The class is facilitated by registered dieticians.
