The RiverBend Facility

On Aug. 10, 2008, the Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute moved to Sacred Heart Medical Center’s RiverBend campus in Springfield, where all services are now located together and centered around a five-story, 156,000-square-foot building. The structure occupies a prominent position separate from, but adjacent to, the main hospital and is easily identified by a signature clock tower. The design of this facility was based on a desire to put the patient and family at the center of care while providing the greatest level of technology and efficiency for physicians and staff to support healing and optimal clinical outcomes.

First floor: public services, patient reception and registration, patient consultation rooms, a patient and family resource library, administrative offices and a state-of-the-art cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation center.

Second floor: diagnostic cardiac and vascular services, nuclear medicine services and administrative support offices.

Third floor: cardiac catheterization labs, peripheral vascular labs and an electrophysiology lab as well as cardiovascular surgical suite, patient- and family-friendly pre-procedure and recovery areas, confidential consultation rooms for physicians and families; leased space for Oregon Cardiology, PC, offices.

Fourth and fifth floors: 72 single-occupancy patient suites with highly trained teams of nurses experienced in providing care for cardiovascular patients from admission through discharge.
