Why PeaceHealth?

PeaceHealth has served the Pacific Northwest for more than 100 years and has a strong reputation for high-quality, compassionate care.

Our accredited programs use the latest technology to provide the best treatment possible, such as linear accelerators to more precisely deliver beams of radiation and energy to kill cancer cells and avoid healthy tissue.

We offer integrated care, so you get everything you need close to home. Our team includes radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, specialty nurses, nurse navigators to guide patients through treatment, registered dieticians, social workers, and insurance specialists. In keeping with our Mission, we are proud to offer financial assistance programs for those experiencing financial hardship.

Brain Cancer Conditions and Treatments

Brain tumors can develop in the brain (called primary tumors) or can develop elsewhere in the body and spread, or metastasize, to the brain (called secondary tumors). Secondary tumors are more common and spread from other forms of cancer such as lung, breast or colon cancer. People of all ages can get brain cancer, but it’s most common in adults older than 65.

Treatments provided:

  • Active Surveillance
  • Chemotherapy
  • Radiation therapy
  • Targeted therapy
  • Surgery
