The unexpected Tuesday night fever. The rash on your newborn's tender skin. Or the Sunday morning biking injury that needs stitches.

Our pediatricians are here every day of the week to help you and your family through all of this and more.

When to see us

If your child needs to be seen today for an illness or injury, we're here for you. Our care team specializes in immediate care for newborns through 18 years old.

If your pediatrician’s office can’t see your child quickly or it's outside their regular hours, Pediatric Priority Care is an option.

We also offer many things you might otherwise go to the emergency room for. Your child can get stitches or an X-ray when they need them, with a shorter wait time and a lower cost.

Note: You should still go to the ER if your child needs life-saving treatment for things like trouble breathing, severe head injuries or bleeding that won’t stop.

How to see us

Just call to book a visit. If you already use PeaceHealth for your child’s primary care, you can book a visit through the My PeaceHealth patient portal. Be sure to select your child’s profile. You can also drop in. We'll see you as soon as we can.

What to see us for

Pediatric Priority Care is best for immediate concerns such as:

  • Cough, congestion, and mild wheezing
  • Fever, vomiting or diarrhea
  • Common infections (sinus, ear, urinary tract, strep throat, pink eye, etc.)
  • Rashes, insect bites and other skin conditions
  • Sprains or breaks of hands, fingers, arms, toes, or feet
  • Minor to moderate burns or cuts that need stitches
  • Asthma or allergy flare-ups

Note: Is your child having chest pain, difficulty breathing or severe bleeding? These may be life-threatening. Call 911 or go to the closest emergency room.

If you’re unsure where to go for care, you have options.

Visit costs

Seeing a provider at Pediatric Priority Care costs the same as seeing a PeaceHealth pediatrician or primary care provider. Just like a PCP visit, diagnostic services like X-rays and blood tests may have an added cost.

At PeaceHealth Priority Care locations, no one will be turned away because they don’t have the ability to pay. We offer financial assistance (sliding fees) based on family size and income. To talk with one of our financial counselors about your options, call 877-202-3597. You can also check if your insurance is accepted.
