Biography
Jessica Niles, DO, has joined the PeaceHealth pediatrics department at the Sacred Heart Medical Center, University District.
She earned her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and most recently was the Chief Resident at University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where she also completed an internship and her residency.
She began her career in social work and was a barre3 and yoga instructor but ultimately discovered that a career in medicine, specifically pediatrics, encompassed all she wanted to pursue. Dr. Niles believes that every child is full of potential and loves the energy and joy that kids bring to her life and career.
“One thing I love about pediatrics is the opportunity to create a fun and comforting environment where kids feel at ease and parents feel supported," she said.
Dr. Niles also grew up in Eugene, graduating from International High School at Sheldon High School and later graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Family & Human Services. When not in the office, Dr. Niles enjoys skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, growing food, puzzles and spending time with her two basset hounds, Chaco and Georgia.
