Brussels Sprouts
Give these mini cabbages a second chance for dinner.

These are not your grandma’s Brussels sprouts! If Brussels sprouts in your experience have been overcooked, smelly balls of green mush, give them another try with this quick and easy stovetop recipe.

Serves 8

  • ½ cup water
  • 1 ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • 2 pounds Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved or quartered
  • Salt, to taste
  • Choice of nuts, optional

Add water and apple cider vinegar to a skillet and heat on medium until it begins to simmer. Add cranberries. Allow to simmer together for 3-5 minutes.

Next add trimmed Brussels sprouts, salt to taste and simmer until tender.

Remove from heat and serve warm.

Optional, top with toasted nuts of choice (walnuts, pecans, etc.).
