Recipe: Cherry lime smoothie

This sweet, tart treat includes 6 grams of fiber.
Healthy smoothie that tastes delicious and will cool you down on a hot summer day. The mixture can also be poured into popsicle molds to enjoy with the entire family.
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen cherries
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 large pitted medjool dates
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ - ½ cup dairy free milk, plus more as needed
- ½ cup ice
Directions:
Soak pitted dates in 1 cup of very warm water for at least 5 minutes. This helps soften them for better blending.
While the dates are soaking, measure remaining ingredients.
Pull the dates out of the water and discard water.
Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender. Blend until smooth, adding more milk to thin, if necessary.
Pour into a glass and enjoy.
