Jeremy Weintraub, supply chain contracts manager, Stewardship Award
Inspired by his grandmother, this Vancouver caregiver saves money to help patients get better care.
Jeremy Weintraub grew up hearing his grandmother's stories about being a doctor for rural Kentucky, where patients had little access to medical care. He wanted to help people get better care, too.
Jeremy earned a degree in public health to carry on his family’s legacy. As supply chain contracts manager at PeaceHealth Shared Services Center in Vancouver, Washington, he uses that background to improve healthcare access through cost savings.
“Jeremy lives our Mission every day. The stewardship thing just comes natural to him,” says Eddie Sharp, senior vice president and chief supply chain officer.
Jeremy's diligence to get the best prices for hospital needs like gloves, bandages, artificial knees and X-ray equipment saved PeaceHealth more than $40 million last year.
"That's money that we can reinvest into our communities," he says. "Money that we are able to put back into making new facilities, helping provide care in new locations and better services."
Jeremy sees his focus on devoting resources to patient care as bringing his family's legacy full circle. This commitment to finding ways to save is one of the reasons he is a recipient of PeaceHealth’s 2025 systemwide Mission and Values Award for Stewardship.
The Mission and Values Awards are PeaceHealth's highest honor. They recognize caregivers for living PeaceHealth’s Mission and Values of Social Justice, Stewardship, Respect and Collaboration.
