Conditions We Treat

Blood and marrow disorders

Common blood cancers include leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma. We also treat myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloprofilerative disease, which can be related to blood cancer.

Bone and soft tissue cancer
Treatments are available for bone and soft tissue cancer. These cancers include malignant bone tumors, metastatic bone cancer, sarcomas, osteosarcomas, chrondrosarcoma, Ewing tumor and many others.
Brain and spinal cord tumors
Brain and spinal cord tumors include metastatic and primary brain cancers. PeaceHealth offers diagnostic tests and treatment for many types of brain and spinal cord tumors, including astrocytomas (including glioblastomas), oligodendrogliomas, ependymomas, medulloblastomas, gangliogliomas and many others.
Breast cancer

Breast cancer can develop in both men and women. The team at PeaceHealth has experience in treating many types of breast cancers, including ductal carcinoma in situ, invasive ductal carcinoma and invasive lobular carcinoma, among others.

Colorectal cancer

Colorectal cancer includes cancer of the colon, rectum and anus. We treat adenocarcinomas and other types of tumors, such as carcinoid tumors, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GSITs), lymphomas and sarcomas.

Endocrine and thyroid cancer
PeaceHealth offers care for different thyroid cancer (papillary, follicular and Hṻrthle cell), medullary, anaplastic and others.
Gynecological cancer

The gynecologic oncologists at PeaceHealth have special expertise in treating women’s cancer. These cancers include endometrial, cervical, vaginal, vulvar, uterine and ovarian.

Liver, pancreas and biliary cancers

Cancers of the liver, bile duct, gallbladder, pancreas and stomach can be primary or spread from other areas. We offer the full range of surgical and medical care for these types of cancers.

Lung cancer

Lung and thoracic cancers include the thymus, chest wall tumors and malignant mesothelioma.

Oral, head and neck cancer

Individuals diagnosed with head, neck and mouth cancers can access diagnostic and treatment resources for throat, esophagus and nasopharyngeal cancers, among others.

Skin cancer

PeaceHealth can diagnose, treat and manage many types of skin cancer. Common types of skin cancers are:

Urologic and genitourinary cancer
Urologic and genitourinary cancers affect the urinary system in men and women. These include bladder cancer, renal (kidney) cancer, testicular cancer, penile cancer, prostate cancer and urethral cancer.

Cancer rehabilitation

Cancer treatment sometimes causes side effects. These may include trouble concentrating, lymphedema (swelling caused by lymph fluid buildup), chronic pain or weakened muscles. PeaceHealth offers a wide range of rehabilitation services to help you manage these problems and regain your strength.

Rehab therapy may include:

  • Physical or occupational therapy – Programs can help improve function and mobility, adapt to lifestyle changes after surgery and rebuild strength.
  • Lymphedema therapy – Certified specialists offer personalized support to help improve circulation and your range of motion.
  • Feeding and swallowing therapy – Therapy to help you get back to easily chewing and swallowing food.
  • Specialized rehabilitation – Therapy tailored to your needs and goals. This may include pulmonary rehab, cardiac rehab, balance and vestibular (inner ear) therapy or incontinence (bladder control) therapy.
  • Neuropsychology – Testing and therapies to help improve concentration, thinking and focus.
  • Wound care – Specialized care and help to manage surgery scars and wounds. This may include removing scar tissue (resection), hyperbaric oxygen therapy and others.
  • Behavioral health therapies – Group or one-on-one sessions offer coping strategies for you and your loved ones.
  • Pain rehabilitation therapies – Nonsurgical and interventional approach to manage pain using medicines, injections, biofeedback and other methods.

Medical oncology

Your cancer care team includes experienced providers from across specialties, led by your medical oncologist. These doctors specialize in oncology and hematology. They are here to share their insight and experience with you and your family.

Radiation oncology

Radiation can be an effective treatment to stop or slow tumor growth. Your radiation oncologist will work closely with your entire care team and develop a customized plan that meets your needs.

Surgical oncology

Experienced surgical oncologists deliver advances in surgical procedures and techniques, including minimally invasive procedures and complex surgeries.
