Get an estimate for your medical care
Getting a cost estimate before you get treatment helps you plan and budget for your healthcare.
PeaceHealth makes it simple by offering three options for estimates. Note: If your care plan includes surgery, we recommend starting with a phone call (Option 3).
We care for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. If you need help, please let us know. We have financial assistance (sliding fees) based on family size and income.
How to request an estimate
What you'll need for an accurate estimate
Having this information ready helps us give you the most accurate estimate:
- Procedure(s) name. Check with your doctor's office for details.
- CPT code. This is the number that identifies your procedure(s) in medical records. You may need more than one. Your doctor's office can give you this information.
- Whether your procedure is inpatient (requires a hospital stay) or outpatient.
- Which PeaceHealth location you'll go to for care.
Understanding your estimate
What to expect
Your estimate is based on average costs for similar services. Your final bill may be different based on the actual care you receive.
Why costs might vary
Several things can affect your total charges:
- How long your procedure takes.
- Time spent in recovery.
- Specific equipment, supplies or medications you need.
- Other tests your doctor orders.
- Complications or unexpected conditions.
What's not included
Your estimate covers PeaceHealth charges only. It doesn't include fees from any non-PeaceHealth doctor or other caregivers such as:
- Surgeons
- Anesthesiologists
- Radiologists or pathologists
- Emergency room doctors
- Consulting specialists
These professionals bill separately for their services.
Your legal rights
The federal No Surprises Act may give you the right to a more detailed cost breakdown. Learn more about your billing rights.
