PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend announces Nursing Excellence Awards honorees

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – On May 28, eight nurses and other members of the patient care team at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend were presented with PeaceHealth’s Nursing Excellence Awards in recognition of bringing PeaceHealth’s Mission and Nursing Professional Practice Model to life.
“Every day these nurses bring compassion and skill to their nursing practice,” said Heather Wall, chief nursing officer of Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. “Their impact might not always be visible, but it is great and lasting. We are grateful for the extraordinary difference they make, and all that they bring to their patients, their teams, and each other.”
The following caregivers were recognized for providing extraordinary service to our patients, their teams and our communities:
- Nurse as an Advocate – Jenny Han, RN – Neuro Trauma ICU
- Nurse as a Clinician – Jaime Jakovac, RN – Observation
- Nurse as a Collaborator – Ann Wish, RN - Short Stay Unit
- Nurse as an Educator – Sarah Shriver, RN – Observation
- Nurse as Innovator – Lisa Gill, RN - Cardiovascular ICU
- Nurse as a Leader – Cat Yoakum, RN – Neuro Trauma ICU
- Preceptor of the Year - Kate Panum, RN – Labor & Delivery
- Nursing Support Excellence Award – Allison Laczkowski, CNA
