Becker’s Healthcare, an industry-leading health media company, has named PeaceHealth as one of its 2019 “Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare” list highlighting hospitals, health systems and healthcare companies that excel at promoting diversity within the workforce, employee engagement and professional growth.

According to Becker’s, the organizations awarded this recognition offer benefits and opportunities for employees to build successful careers above and beyond the average healthcare provider or company, encourage professional development and promote leadership from within. Many of the organizations also offer unique wellness and personal benefits to ensure employees strike a positive work/life balance, support volunteerism and organize community outreach activities.

Other organizations named on the 2019 “Top 150” list include Brigham Health, Cleveland Clinic, Geisinger, Kaiser Permanente, Mayo Clinic, Seattle Children’s Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized among other healthcare leaders for creating a top-tier workplace where our 16,000-strong caregiver team can be successful and thrive, grow their careers and make a positive impact in the communities we serve,” said Liz Dunne, president and CEO of PeaceHealth. “We strive to make PeaceHealth a setting for personal growth and fulfillment so our caregivers can deliver the very best in safe, quality care. As the heart of PeaceHealth, we’ll continue to do everything we can to support and engage our caregivers in everything they do.”

Becker’s Healthcare developed the “Top 150” list based on nominations and editorial research. Nomination criteria included the impact of mission, vision and values on the workplace, employee benefits and wellness, commitment to diversity and professional development, community engagement and employee satisfaction and retention.
