Jaime always wanted to help people
Jaime Wyatt Miller was a champion for the Vancouver community and her legacy lives on helping cancer patients in need.
Jaime Wyatt Miller lived her life dedicated to helping others in Clark County, Washington. When she had breast cancer, she saw so many patients alongside her in great need of help. After Jaime died of cancer in 2018, her family created her legacy that will forever help low-income cancer patients during treatment at PeaceHealth Southwest.
The Jaime Wyatt Miller Cancer Compassion Fund is an endowed fund at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation. Jaime’s fund helps cancer patients in need of strength during difficult treatments. Jaime’s fund will put dinner on the table for a family with a parent who cannot work due to chemotherapy, or keep the lights on for a patient who can’t afford to pay the bill with all the other costs of treatment, or even pay for transportation to a radiation treatment when a patient doesn’t have access. Jaime’s fund helps patients in real, tangible ways that lessen their burdens during cancer treatments and honors a beloved local woman who is deeply missed.
In October 2019, the PeaceHealth Southwest foundation hosted a record-breaking gala that raised $1.1 million for Jaime’s fund and support for cancer patients in need of help.
