PeaceHealth opens only urgent care clinic in Eugene/Springfield area just for kids
| News | Service Line
EUGENE, Ore. – PeaceHealth is proud to launch Valley River Pediatric Priority Care Clinic, the only urgent care in the Eugene/Springfield area just for kids.
The clinic is open seven days week to kids of all ages – newborn to 18 years old, including those who aren’t PeaceHealth patients.
Pediatric Priority Care offers a similar level of care as urgent and same-day clinics, including X-ray and lab draw services. The clinic is open evenings, weekends and holidays, and starting September 1, will conveniently be available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Clinic pediatricians are able to treat most illnesses and injuries – including those that may have previously prompted a visit to the emergency room, and with shorter wait times and lower costs. That includes everything from an infant rash to a broken teenage finger, to an ear infection, fever or even stitches. (Symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing or severe bleeding may be life-threatening, and you should call 911 or go to the closest emergency room.)
To schedule an appointment, call 541-222-7370. Children who currently see a PeaceHealth pediatrician can also book a visit online through the My PeaceHealth patient portal. If a child doesn’t have a primary doctor, clinic staff can help connect parents with one who is accepting new patients.
All visits to the Pediatric Priority Care Clinic are billed as an office visit, not as a more expensive urgent care or emergency room visit. PeaceHealth accepts nearly 30 different insurance plans. We also offer financial aid (sliding fees) based on income and family size. No one will be turned away because they don’t have the ability to pay.
The clinic is located at 1400 Valley River Dr., Suite 110, Eugene, and can be reached at 541-222-7370.
