BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Two new specialists in endocrinology joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group in the last month and will practice at the specialty clinic in Bellingham.

Dr. George Ang

George Ang, MD, practices endocrinology and joined the PeaceHealth Cordata South specialty clinic in Bellingham in July 2022. He has special interests in diabetes, thyroid and metabolic bone disorders.

Dr. Ang received his medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, and completed his fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the State University of New York in Syracuse, New York. Prior to joining PeaceHealth, Dr. Ang provided patient care in both private practice and public health settings in New York, New Mexico and Washington. Dr. Ang’s wide range of experience also includes roles as a community physician, assistant professor, consultant and researcher in osteoporosis and Paget’s disease of the bone.

Dr. Jennifer Clark

Jennifer Clark, MD, joined PeaceHealth in early August 2022 and practices at the PeaceHealth Cordata South clinic in Bellingham. She is interested in all areas of endocrinology with a particular focus on diabetes. Dr. Clark has research experience in diabetes, thyroid, weight management and shared decision making.

Dr. Clark earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and completed her fellowship in endocrinology at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.

“Medicine is an intellectually challenging and rewarding career that provides the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of other people and a positive impact in my community,” said Dr. Clark. She particularly enjoys developing meaningful relationships with her patients and discovering together what treatments and management strategies might fit their lives best.

Endocrinology is the study of hormones, which act as chemical messengers controlling a wide range of functions in the body and are produced by the endocrine glands like the thyroid, pituitary or adrenal glands. Endocrinologists are medical doctors that treat diseases related to problems with hormones.
