Catherine Kroll, director of infection prevention for PeaceHealth, was recently honored with the 2020 Senior Heroes Award in the Healthcare Professional category. The annual awards honor individuals in Clark County, Washington, who demonstrate excellence and compassion in serving seniors.

Catherine was honored for her exemplary dedication to patient safety initiatives in support of seniors and the entire community. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she has diligently led infection prevention practices across PeaceHealth to protect patients and caregivers, as well as collaborated closely with community partners serving seniors to offer guidance and support.

“We couldn’t be prouder of Catherine for this deserving award,” said Natalie Blum, system director for quality and infection prevention. “She exemplifies PeaceHealth’s commitment to the health of our communities, leading infection prevention teams across Washington, Oregon and Alaska to go above and beyond and institute the highest patient safety standards to keep our communities safe.”
