The New Beginnings Birthing Center at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center is designed using the Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) model. This means new moms and their families are able to experience the labor, delivery and recovery process all in the same room. Families can gather around for support without having to be moved throughout the hospital.
Our staff is dedicated to a model of minimum intervention. This is coupled with the expertise of highly qualified, board certified Obstetricians/ Gynecologists who are available 24/7. We offer a modern medical facility with current technology and a dedicated staff.
We periodically offer childbirth and breast feeding classes free to the public. Call us to inquire.
As soon as you have made the decision to give birth at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center, please call the Women's Health Clinic at 907-228-7688 to schedule a prenatal visit.
Our Obstetricians/Gynecologists and nurse-midwives work together to let you choose the care you want and need. The two philosophies combined provide superior care and options for you.
This clinic is licensed as part of PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center. You may receive a separate charge or billing for facility fees in addition to any professional fees for services, which may result in a higher out-of-pocket expense.
