AEDs for Lane County Sheriff's Office
Minutes matter. Give our deputies the tools they need to save lives today.
Lane County residents and guests experience cardiac arrests daily across the county, from the coast to the Cascades. Lane County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) deputies are often first on scene at accidents and rural emergencies. In cases of cardiac arrest, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) allow deputies to begin quality defibrillation minutes before an ambulance can arrive.
This project was identified by PeaceHealth caregivers and Oregon Heart and Vascular Institute (OHVI) leaders. In reviewing Lane County cardiac arrest cases, they noted significant disparities in health outcomes for rural individuals transported for emergency care. Please support LCSO deputies in their service to nearly 400,000 residents and visitors across over 4,600 square miles by gifting them an AED. Any additional funds will purchase AED consumables, including single-use pads or batteries.
