Our mission

The mission of PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation is to support the mission of PeaceHealth by leading in advocacy, fundraising and fiduciary oversight for the sole benefit of PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend and University District.

Our vision

The Sacred Heart Medical Center is recognized as one of our nation's leading hospitals. It has earned this distinction for the high quality and effective management of the medical care provided for its patients. Sacred Heart has a deep, unwavering commitment to care for all of the patients, and their families, who turn to the hospital each year for help and hope.

The Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation shares this commitment and is dedicated to providing the philanthropic support necessary to meet this commitment in the future.

Historically, the Foundation has been successful because committed citizens have donated their time and financial resources in support of Sacred Heart. The Foundation shall expand its efforts in the years ahead to ensure the continued availability of excellent medical care to the people of this region.

Recognizing that the health status of this region as a whole will be greatly enhanced through community health initiatives, education, and prevention programs, the Foundation will aggressively seek opportunities to support medical care delivery with increased emphasis on health and wellness promotion.

Towards this end, the Foundation will:

  • Utilize both traditional and new methods for philanthropic building support;
  • Continue, with the help of the medical staff, to better educate itself about the delivery of medical care at Sacred Heart and the changing healthcare environment;
  • Become a more effective advocate for Sacred Heart within this region;
  • Strengthen its relationship with physicians and the broader medical community; and
  • Demonstrate greater attention, and service, to its donors.

With this commitment, the Foundation will have an ever growing impact on medical excellence at Sacred Heart.
