On behalf of PeaceHealth Foundations, I want to thank you and David for your many years of philanthropic support and for the leadership you bring to PeaceHealth as a System Board member.
Your generosity is meaningful not only because of the care it makes possible, but because of the example it sets. Over the past several years, this Board has modeled something truly extraordinary: 100% participation in philanthropic giving. That level of engagement reflects a shared belief in PeaceHealth’s Mission and sends an important message to our caregivers, physicians, donors and community partners. It shows that our Board is not only governing the future of PeaceHealth, but personally helping to shape it.
Your support of the Community Benefit Fund and PeaceHealth’s healthcare mission in El Salvador is a beautiful reflection of that commitment. In 2025, PazSalud celebrated 25 years of extending PeaceHealth’s Mission beyond our walls and across borders. Through its optometry missions, PazSalud served 5,197 patients, prescribed 4,811 pairs of glasses and referred 661 patients for cataract surgery. Its cataract missions also served 403 patients, restoring sight, dignity and hope for individuals who might otherwise go without care.
As healthcare continues to grow more complex, philanthropy is becoming even more essential. It helps advance strategic priorities, strengthen trusted relationships and move resources into the areas where they can have meaningful impact for patients, families, caregivers and communities — both locally and globally.
