Our surgeons are board-certified fellows of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Chest Physicians. They have expertise in cardiovascular and general thoracic surgery, including minimally invasive techniques that can relieve your symptoms without open-heart surgery. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement or TAVRWatchman and MitraClip, for common heart valve and heart rhythm conditions, are among the advanced procedures they perform. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, intensivists, nephrologists, vascular surgeons and pulmonologists to provide the most comprehensive heart care available.

Mended Hearts

Dianna Konrad and Howard Milewski of Bellingham, Wash., are members of Mended Hearts, a national peer support program for patients who have cardiovascular disease. As accredited hospital visitor volunteers at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, Dianna and Howard support heart patients through connection, sharing resources and their own experiences with heart disease.

In the video below, Dianna and Howard address some of the common concerns and questions patients and their families have prior to undergoing heart procedures.
