Comprehensive Stroke Center

Please note we have moved to the 5th floor of the RiverBend Pavilion.

As the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in the Willamette Valley, we are the premier regional provider of neurological, neurosurgical, and rehabilitative stroke care.

The Comprehensive Stroke Center at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend is an Accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center by Det Norske Vertias (DNV). DNV accreditation is recognized as a symbol of quality, with a commitment to quality driven care for our patients.  We are also recognized by the American Heart and Stroke Association as a Gold Plus Award winner for several years in a row.

Our Center features a team of specialists from a variety of medical disciplines, including neurology, radiology, and emergency medicine. They have the skills and expertise to provide comprehensive stroke services including cutting-edge endovascular large vessel clot removal surgery available at only a handful of hospitals in Oregon and California.

We specialize in stroke evaluation, treatment, care, prevention, research, emergency stroke care, and education. In addition, we offer rehabilitative services at several locations, including outpatient therapy at the RiverBend Pavilion and extended inpatient services at Sacred Heart Medical Center University District.
