The organized Medical Staff is responsible for monitoring the quality of medical care provided by individuals with clinical privileges at the hospital, subject to approval of the hospital governing board. The cooperative efforts of the medical staff, the administrator and the governing board fulfill the hospital's obligation to its patients.
