Objectives

1. Explain common mechanisms and patterns of abdominal and pelvic trauma.
2. Recognize signs of major internal bleeding during transport.
3. Use FAST/eFAST and other assessment tools effectively in prehospital settings.
4. Apply damage-control resuscitation principles, including blood product use and TXA.
5. Understand when and how to use pelvic binders safely.
6. Manage pain and sedation without worsening shock.
7. Adjust ventilator settings to reduce complications from abdominal injuries.
8. Secure patients with pelvic stabilization for safe air or ground transport.
