Current NP and CRNA Students: Clinical Placement Information
Looking for a clinical placement?
This page is intended for students who are already enrolled in an NP or CRNA program. Because healthcare education is dependent on clinical capacity, placement opportunities cannot be guaranteed.
All NP student clinical placement requests within the PeaceHealth Oregon Network are coordinated centrally through the Center for Medical Education & Research (CMER) in Oregon.

The placement review process
A request for placement generally involves:
Step 1
Identification of a potential preceptor or clinical opportunity. Have that PeaceHealth caregiver contact us. jcole3@peacehealth.org.
Step 2
To begin the process, please complete our intake form at the following link: 👉 https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/Av7F5Du6EG. This form collects essential information, including your program requirements, preferred timeline, and any potential preceptor details. Once your completed form is received, our team will review your submission and follow up with next steps, including preceptor matching and confirmation of contract status. After submitting the intake form, please also send your CV via email or fax for our records.
Step 4
Verification and approval of placement request.
Step 5
Completion of onboarding and compliance requirements.
Important considerations
A willing preceptor does not automatically result in an approved placement.
Approval depends on factors including:
- Specialty requirements
- Clinical capacity
- Existing learner commitments
- Compliance requirements
- Educational fit

No. We work hard to help you through the clinical placement process.
Are PeaceHealth employees given preference?
PeaceHealth may consider workforce development needs and internal educational priorities when evaluating opportunities, but employment alone does not guarantee placement.
How far in advance should I begin?
Several months before the anticipated start date is recommended.
