PeaceHealth names Oregon network chief operating officer

February 12, 2019

Todd Salnas will join PeaceHealth Oregon as chief operating officer (COO). His first day at PeaceHealth will be March 18, 2019.

In his role as Oregon Network COO, Salnas will assume leadership over our four hospitals’ operations, with a focus on clinical excellence, top decile quality outcomes, operational efficiency and leading a Lean culture for our ministry. In addition to network-wide responsibility for assigned areas and service lines, his work also will include our network’s business/community partnerships and growth opportunities in partnership with the System Strategy team.

“Todd comes to us from St. Joseph’s Health System in Sonoma County, Calif., where he most recently served as president,” said Mary Kingston, PeaceHealth Oregon chief executive. “Todd has more than 20 years of proven and diverse experience in the healthcare industry – most of which have been in leadership positions with a focus on growth/referral strategies, process improvement, patient experience and clinical excellence. His background and experience make him a great addition to our healthcare ministry team.”

“I am so pleased that my career journey led me to PeaceHealth. It is an honor to be selected for the Oregon Network COO role,” Salnas said. “I am inspired by the mission, traditions and excellent reputation of PeaceHealth and look forward to listening to and learning from the caregivers, providers and leaders who have been called to serve the communities of Lane County.”

Salnas is Lean Green Belt-certified and has earned numerous honors including the Catholic Healthcare Tomorrow’s Leader Award, North Bay Business Leaders 40 Under Age 40 Award and the ACHE Early Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree in health sciences from the University of Arizona, Salnas received a dual-degree master’s in business administration and health services administration, both from Arizona State University.

About PeaceHealth: PeaceHealth, based in Vancouver, Wash., is a not-for-profit Catholic health system offering care to communities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
