A vaginal pessary is a removable device placed into the vagina. An inflatable pessary is designed to support areas of pelvic organ prolapse, particularly uterine prolapse. It is especially helpful in cases of uterine prolapse accompanied by prolapse of other organs, including the bladder, rectum, small bowel, and vaginal vault.
