Vaccine information

PeaceHealth primary care clinics are offering influenza vaccines for patients of all ages. COVID-19 immunizations are also available for patients 18 years old and younger. Please call your clinic to make an appointment to ensure we have enough supply. For adult COVID-19 and adult RSV vaccines, check with your local pharmacy.

As you age, you may need special care for your health. Geriatrics is a health field focused on caring for seniors, generally aged 65 or older.

Geriatricians are healthcare professionals specializing in caring for conditions that often affect older adults. A change in mobility, eating habits, mental status or behavior might require these services. A need for coordinated care can also be addressed. The goal of senior care is to:

  • Improve health and quality of life.
  • Prevent illness and injury.
  • Help seniors maintain independence.
  • Use a patient-centered approach by discussing personal goals of care, including advance-care planning.

As you or your loved ones age, consider seeing a geriatric or senior health care specialist.

This medical clinic for seniors is staffed by Geriatricians and Nurse Practitioners. This includes a medical social worker, counselor, clinical pharmacist and Medicare billing consultant. In addition, foot care, audiology services and specialty geriatric consultations are offered.
