A vibrant, passionate, and deeply devoted wife and mother, Carolina Mathews was a radiant woman whose light brightened the lives of everyone she met.
Building a loving home and raising her children were her proudest accomplishments. She created a space where her family could grow through the warmth of her love, home-cooked meals, boundless support and special touch. Through her willingness to love without limit, she taught her husband and children that family is forever.
Full of loyalty, love, and pride, Caro embraced life wholeheartedly, weaving her Chilean heritage into everything she did. She welcomed others with open arms and had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. Whether through cooking, traveling, celebrating, laughing, or simply showing up for others, she made every moment feel special.
Caring for people was not something Caro did occasionally—it was how she lived. She was deeply attuned to those who were struggling and felt a responsibility to help whenever she could. Through volunteering, offering quiet support, or finding meaningful ways to ease someone else's burden, she led with compassion and generosity. She taught her family that caring for others is both a privilege and a responsibility.
Carolina passed away on September 24, 2021, at the age of 48 after a courageous battle with cancer. While her family misses her every day, her legacy of love, kindness, and service continues through the lives she touched and through the work of this endowment.

Carolina Mathews fue una esposa y madre vibrante, apasionada y profundamente dedicada a su familia. Era una mujer radiante cuya luz iluminaba la vida de todas las personas que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla.
Construir un hogar lleno de amor y criar a sus hijos fueron sus mayores orgullos. Creó un espacio donde su familia pudo crecer rodeada de cariño, comidas caseras, apoyo incondicional y ese toque especial que hacía sentir a todos bienvenidos. Con su capacidad de amar sin límites, les enseñó a su esposo e hijos que la familia es para siempre.
Llena de lealtad, amor y orgullo, Caro vivió la vida intensamente, integrando sus raíces chilenas en todo lo que hacía. Recibía a los demás con los brazos abiertos y tenía un don extraordinario para reunir a las personas. Ya fuera cocinando, viajando, celebrando, riendo o simplemente acompañando a quienes la rodeaban, hacía que cada momento fuera especial.
Ayudar a los demás no era algo que Caro hiciera de vez en cuando; era la manera en que vivía cada día. Tenía una profunda sensibilidad hacia quienes estaban atravesando momentos difíciles y sentía la responsabilidad de tender una mano cuando era necesario.
A través del voluntariado, del apoyo silencioso o de pequeños gestos que aliviaban las cargas de otros, siempre actuó con compasión y generosidad. También inculcó estos valores en su familia, enseñándoles que cuidar de los demás es tanto un privilegio como una responsabilidad.
Carolina falleció el 24 de septiembre de 2021, a los 48 años, tras una valiente lucha contra el cáncer. Aunque su familia la extraña cada día, su legado de amor, bondad y servicio continúa vivo en las personas que tocó con su vida y en la labor de este fondo.
