Biography

We welcomed Karman Tandon, MD, MPH, to the PeaceHealth Medical Group Cardiology team of providers in 2019. Dr. Tandon has special medical interests in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, genetic and rare heart diseases, sports cardiology, complex valve disease and multimodality cardiac imaging. His research has focused on new drugs for rare heart conditions, atrial fibrillation and stroke, and advanced technology for cardiac imaging. Dr. Tandon currently serves as a board member for My Heart Your Heart, a nonprofit organization committed to developing the infrastructure needed to safely implant reused cardiac devices in the developing world. After completing his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering, he founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing healthcare to orphans in Zambia “My goal is to treat every patient with the personalized, compassionate, innovative and prompt care I would give to a friend,” he said. When not providing excellent patient care, Dr. Tandon can be found spending time with his wife and kids, traveling, windsurfing, wake surfing and hiking through the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
