On Aug. 24 and 25, we held a bargaining session with Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) as we continue working toward an agreement on a contract for PeaceHealth caregivers ahead of the fall opening of a new joint-venture hospital with Lifepoint Rehabilitation. 

Thoughtful, collaborative discussion continued on topics including hours of work; councils and committees; compensation and wages; professional development; benefits administration; no-strike, no lockout; staffing; paid time off; severance; employee definitions; sale, merger and transfer; and staffing. 

To date, we have reached 13 tentative agreements on topics including grievance procedure; progressive corrective action; mandatory education; association rights and representatives; management rights and responsibilities; workforce reductions/low census/reorganization; leave of absence; filling of vacancies; nondiscrimination and accommodations and equality of opportunity; preamble; recognition and membership; seniority; clinical ladder.

We recognize how important this contract is to you, and we pledge to bargain in good faith as we work toward an agreement. We look forward to continuing these constructive conversations at our next bargaining session on Sept. 2.

On June 22, we held a bargaining session with Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) as we continue working toward an agreement on a contract for PeaceHealth caregivers ahead of the fall opening of a new joint-venture hospital with Lifepoint Rehabilitation. 

PeaceHealth RNs that are represented by ONA currently working in the IP Rehab Department at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend will be transitioning to this new location as it opens.

The June 22 session was productive, respectful and collaborative. Multiple proposals were exchanged during the sessions. 

We reached two tentative agreements on the topics of grievance procedure and progressive corrective action. There was also thoughtful, collaborative discussion on the topics of association representatives; employee definitions; mandatory training and education; hours of work; and committees and councils.

On May 27, we held a bargaining session with Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) as we continue working toward an agreement on a contract for PeaceHealth caregivers ahead of the fall opening of a new joint-venture hospital with Lifepoint Rehabilitation. 

PeaceHealth RNs that are represented by ONA currently working in the IP Rehab Department at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend will be transitioning to this new location as it opens.

PeaceHealth appreciated the respectful and productive discussion and ONA’s continued engagement. The conversation was open and collaborative, and progress was made.
