Samir B. Ale MD

Samir Ale, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician, has joined the family practice team at Peace Harbor Medical Center.

He graduated from the Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences in Nepal and completed his residency at the Morehouse School of Medicine’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Atlanta. He also was a volunteer faculty member with Oregon Health & Sciences University’s rural health program.

He most recently had been practicing at the North Bend Medical Center.

He said one part of practicing family medicine he likes best is being able to build a relationship and provide continuity of care with his patients.

“I’m able to establish a bond with them and try to figure out what they really need,” he said. “I’ve been able to tap into that and help people the way they expect to be helped, to meet them where it’s most helpful for them.”

He takes into account his patients’ physical, mental and spiritual needs when treating them.

“I like to see the big picture,” he said. “I believe emotions feed a lot into how people feel. Healing the body is as important as treating the disease itself.”

In addition to English, Ale speaks Nepali and Hindi.

Outside of work, he likes to cook, hike, ride his motorcycle, play the guitar and travel. He is also a singer-songwriter and has a podcast with his fiance.
