Peter K. Black MD

Dr. Black is board-certified in Internal Medicine as well as Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He also holds a Wound Care certification. His medical degree was earned at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, with his residency completed at University of California San Francisco in Internal Medicine. With extensive experience in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, Dr. Black has received national awards for his healing rates. He enjoys getting to know and understand his patient and their chronic wounds, so he is able to heal them and alleviate suffering. “I chose to practice medicine to help others and make a difference in the world. It is very gratifying to help patients heal complicated wounds and overcome difficult conditions that can be treated with hyperbaric medicine.” Away from work, Dr. Black enjoys spending time with his immediate and extended family. He has a wife, who is also a physician, and two sons. He plays racket sports and likes being active in nature, including hiking, walking and crabbing.
