Naori Yamashiro, MD, joined the PeaceHealth Center for Senior Health team of providers in September 2018. Prior to joining PeaceHealth, Dr. Yamashiro provided geriatric and primary care at Providence Medical Group in Centralia, Washington.
Dr. Yamashiro’s area of interest is community-based outpatient care-- for example, care provided in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities.
“I desire to provide individualized and holistic care to seniors for their overall well-being,” she said.
Dr. Yamashiro’s professional experience includes several short-term positions in Honduras, Guatemala, Hawaii and New Zealand. Born and raised in Okinawa, Japan, she is fluent in Japanese.
In her free time, Dr. Yamashiro enjoys arts and crafts, cooking and Hawaiian culture, including hula dance and practicing the ukulele. She is excited to explore the many activities available in Bellingham as she makes it her home.
