Biography
Michael I. McNellis, MD, received his medical degree from the National University of Ireland. He then went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at Providence/St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. After completion of his residency, Dr. McNellis was selected to be Chief Medical Resident of Internal Medicine at Providence/St. Vincent Medical Center. He completed his fellowships in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California Irvine Medical Center and Long Beach Veterans Administration Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. McNellis joined PeaceHealth Medical Group in 1997.
Dr. McNellis has worked on numerous research projects in areas involving mechanical ventilation, the adult respiratory distress syndrome, sleep apnea and hypothermia.
In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, and developing summer programs for the Boy Scouts of America.
