Biography
Melissa Bowe, PA-C, is a physician assistant who supports patients with primary and urgent care needs. She has experience treating illnesses and injuries in people of all ages, from children to seniors.
Melissa comes to PeaceHealth after several years at the Optum Clinic in Arlington, Wash. She enjoys helping people who need emergency care. Before that, she worked in two fast-paced hospital emergency departments in Boston, Mass. She helped assign and care for patients with life-threatening injuries.
Melissa was in Boston training for her PA-C degree at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Brown University in Rhode Island. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in cognitive neuroscience.
Melissa also has experience in orthopedics at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. Melissa assisted surgeons whose patients needed knee, shoulder and other joint replacements.
In her free time, Melissa takes part in skiing and high-altitude sports. An experienced outdoorswoman, she enjoys mountain biking and ski mountaineering.
