Maile E. Parker MD

Maile Parker, MD, has joined the general surgery department at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend where she will specialize in colorectal surgery. 

Dr. Parker is board certified in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery. 

She earned her doctor of medicine from the University of Washington School of Medicine, graduating with honors. She completed both her residency in general surgery and her fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Mayo Clinic.

Prior to joining PeaceHealth, she practiced in the Eugene-Springfield community for more than six years at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center.

Her expertise is in the full spectrum of colon and rectal surgery including surgical management of colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, hemorrhoids, diverticulitis and other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. 

She is trained in a broad spectrum of surgical techniques, including open, laparoscopic and robotic approaches. Dr. Parker strives to apply minimally invasive approach to most abdominal operations to promote faster healing and recovery.

Dr. Parker’s patient-care philosophy is based on providing compassionate, high-quality care that respects each patient’s individual needs and preferences.

She is a native Pacific Northwesterner who loves exploring the great outdoors even in our rainy winters. When not at work, she enjoys running, hiking, gardening, reading, baking, and spending time with her husband and dog.
