Biography

Luke W. Hinson, AUD, joined PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in 2022. Prior to joining PeaceHealth, Luke worked as an Audiology Resident for Piedmont Ear, Nose and Throat in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He specializes in pediatric and adult hearing diagnostics, hearing aid fittings, and management. Luke pursued audiology, connecting his interest with American Sign Language. He is also passionate about language access for deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) children. “My philosophy as an audiologist is to provide accessible hearing and balance healthcare to individuals of all ages and language modalities. As a provider, I work with patients and their families toward meeting goals for communication, hearing, and other related concerns. My goal is to work with individuals towards language and communication access, whether that be spoken, signed, or a combination of both.” Luke enjoys exploring outdoors during his free time, including hiking, backpacking, camping, climbing, biking and rowing/kayaking.
