Lauren E. Gorton MD

Lauren Gorton, MD, is a board-certified general and trauma surgeon. She specializes in general surgery, trauma surgery and surgical critical care.

Dr. Gorton brings extensive experience to PeaceHealth. She previously served as a general and trauma surgeon at St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, CO. She was also a general and trauma surgeon at Castleview Hospital in Price, UT. Dr. Gorton has contributed to peer-reviewed publications in neurocritical care and vascular surgery. She has presented research to the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and other groups.

Dr. Gorton earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from Loyola University Chicago.

Dr. Gorton delivers care to communities that have limited access to surgical services. "Every patient deserves access to high-quality surgical care, no matter where they live," Dr. Gorton says.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Gorton enjoys dressage, hiking, skiing, trail running and gardening.
