Laila Naquib-Osman, MD provides pathology services at PeaceHealth St. John. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as in Cytopathology.
Dr. Naqib-Osman earned her medical degree at Kuwait University, and completed her residency in Anhatomic and Clnical Pathology at Berkshire Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and a second fellowship in Cytopathology at OHSU in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Naquib-Osman became interested in the field of medicine at an early age. "I wanted to be a doctor since I was in middle school because I love taking care of others. My analytical and inquisitive mind fits very well with Pathology." Dr. Naquib-Osman's study of medicine took an unscheduled turn in 1990, when her residency in Surgery in Kuwait was ended by the invasion of that country. She continued her studies abroad, allowing her to fulfill her early life goal of providing great care for others.
