Katie C. Johnson NP

Katie Johnson is dual board certified as a Clinic Nurse Specialist in Adult Health, and as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her undergraduate from Oregon Health and Sciences University, and also earned her graduate degree there as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Health and Illness. Katie earned a post-graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama, and has completed a post-graduate certificate in advanced headache diagnosis and management from Thomas Jefferson University’s Headache Center. Katie believes that the role of the advance practice nurse is fluid, and requires flexibility and creativity achieved through respect, trust and knowledge. In her role she collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, is a leader, educator, and clinical expert while complementing the medical perspective of patient care. She strives to improve patient outcomes, quality of care, and cost effectiveness. Katie holds a specific interest in headache medicine, having received specialty training in neurology. She is trained in the administration of Botox for chronic migraine and occipital nerve blocks. In her time away from work, Katie enjoy reading, being outdoors and spending time with family.
