Jennifer L. Hunter, MSN, ARNP, joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Center for Senior Health team of providers in May 2021. Jennifer comes to PeaceHealth with expertise in pulmonology, end-of-life care and chronic condition-triggered mental health issues.
Jennifer has previous experience with the Center for Senior Health having completed clinical rotations with the team. Most recently, she served as a pulmonary nurse practitioner at the Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Western Washington University (Go Vikings!) and her Master of Science of Nursing from Seattle University.
Jennifer is a proponent for holistic care. “I believe strongly that lifestyle plays a key role in overall well-being,” she said. She is also an advocate of a team approach to achieve optimal patient care, working collaboratively with the patient and their care team to ensure the best possible outcomes in alignment with the patient’s wishes.
“I strive to provide thorough patient education and ensure understanding of medical decisions being made about the patient’s health. I want to make patients leave their appointments feeling confident in our care plan,” she shared.
Outside of her practice, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, dog and six chickens. She is also an avid outdoorsperson who enjoys mountain biking, skiing and gardening. When she can, Jennifer appreciates any opportunity to travel. She is excited to return to serving the Bellingham community.
