Frederick J. Nesbit NP

Fred Nesbit, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, joined PeaceHealth Ketchikan as a family nurse practitioner in the Family Medicine clinic in 2023. Fred’s practice interests include weight management and preventative care. Fred received his Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his Master of Science in Nursing – Clinical Nurse Leader from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Fred brings with him numerous years as an emergency department nurse both domestically and internationally having worked overseas as a nurse in Australia. In discussing his clinical philosophy, Fred shared, “I want to keep patients happy, healthy and to reach their full potentials. Medicine is a collaborative effort between patients and their care providers. My job is to keep you out of the hospital and help you achieve your health goals.” Fred is joined in Ketchikan by his wife Victoria and their two dogs. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, biking and being outdoors.
