David P. Abraham DO

David Abraham, DO, specializes in adult internal medicine and joined PeaceHealth in 2023. His medical interests include primary care and advance care planning. Dr. Abraham is a graduate of the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Additionally, he holds a master’s degree in biomedicine from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. On practicing medicine, David says, “Health is a direct result of our beliefs and past experiences which means that everyone’s health and healthcare experience is vastly unique. I feel my role as a physician is to educate and provide options that help patients meet their specific health goals by addressing both their physical and mental well-being.” He worked as an emergency medical technician and tutored medical students before becoming a doctor. David also volunteers with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and with animal rescue organizations. He has a passion for teaching and received the Outstanding Teaching Award while in residency. To recharge away from the clinic, Dr. Abraham enjoys running, hiking, camping and kayaking. He also likes playing with his dogs and learning about different cultures through food.
