Biography

Cynthia Williams, NP, has joined the cardiology unit at the Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute at Sacred Heart Medical Center at River Bend. She will also practice at Peace Harbor Medical Center.

She earned her master of science in nursing from Duke University School of Nursing, completing clinical rotations in geriatric and internal medicine and primary care. She earned an associate degree in nursing from Lane Community College.

She most recently worked at Grand Ronde Hospital in La Grande and previously worked as a registered nurse at RiverBend.

Cardiology has played a role in her career since the start, beginning with testing and being part of more advanced care teams throughout. Her years of experience as a nurse encouraged her to challenge herself and further her education to become a nurse practitioner.

“I’m always drawn to find out why things happen and then continue that search for answers that I can pass on to my patients,” she said. “I have a passion for figuring out what’s going on and how I can help.

“My approach is just coming alongside people and listening and being kind, always being kind,” she added.

When not at work, Williams can be found spending time with her family and friends, enjoying game nights, hiking, reading and enjoying the outdoors.
