Christine Katterhagen, MD is a general surgeon who received her medical training in Chicago, then completed her surgical residency at Parkland Hospital/University of Texas SW Medical Center. She follows in the footsteps of her father, who was an oncologist in Tacoma, WA. As a child, she would often accompany her father as he made house calls on weekends. She is an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor, and is certified in Diagnostic and Interventional Breast Ultrasound. She has been practicing in Longview for more than 20 years, and is a physician leader of the PeaceHealth St. John Kearney Breast Center.
Dr. Katterhagen in actively involved as a volunteer with International Surgical Missions (ISU) and has treated patients in the Philippines. Her philosophy of care (and life) is "Patients come first, and be nice to the nurses and the janitor."
