Biography
Brian Lowell, MD is a family practice physician who specializes in sports medicine. He earned his medical degree at OHSU, and completed his residency and sports medicine fellowship at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington.
Although Dr. Lowell is board certified in sports medicine, he continues to provide all-around family care. "I really enjoy working with children, and if weren't a physician I would probably be a teacher," said Dr. Lowell. His philosophy of patient care is to begin with with a "less is more" holistic approach before advancing to more aggressive interventions. Despite his advanced training in sports medicine, Dr. Lowell still takes great pleasure in providing family care. "There are not many board certified sports medicine doctors who still deliver babies!"
When he is not caring for patients and families, Dr. Lowell cherishes his time with his spouse and children. He is a bit of a rock hound, and says his family enjoys spending time together outdoors on a constant lookout for rocks and minerals.
