Biography

We welcomed Allison Robinson, MD, FACS, FASCRS, to the PeaceHealth Medical Group General Surgery team of physicians in 2020. Dr. Robinson is a retired Captain in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Navy with 25 years of military service and medical practice.

While stationed at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, Calif., Dr. Robinson established a colorectal program that improved colorectal cancer screening rates and provided earlier intervention and patient treatment strategies. It was here that she received a Meritorious Service Medal for her numerous accomplishments.

Among her military honors, she was named Top Surgeon in the Navy, 2007-2009, by a patient satisfaction survey and most recently received her seventh Most Productive General Surgeon achievement. Dr. Robinson was elected to a six-year term as director at-large on the American Board of Surgery in 2020.

Dr. Robinson is an experienced colorectal surgeon with interests in treating inflammatory bowel disease, anal disease, rectal cancer and anal intraepithelial neoplasia in the HIV population. She is highly skilled with robotic-assisted surgery and utilizes this technology to best serve her patients.

“My goal is to get to know my patients with a foundation of caring and open communication to guide them through the process of surgery and then return to their normal lives," she said.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Robinson enjoys boating and fishing with her family.
