Touchstone Award

Nominate a doctor or advanced practice provider (nurse practitioner, physician associate, certified registered nurse anesthetist, certified nurse midwife) for the TouchStone Award by describing the caring moments and compassionate care that makes them so special.

Criteria include the following:

Models empathy and compassion by showing genuine concern for patient well-being by treating patients with kindness and respect.
Works collaboratively with bedside caregivers and other members of the healthcare team to promote multidisciplinary patient-centered care.
Demonstrates professional integrity by adhering to high ethical standards.
Demonstrates clinical competence in their ability to analyze complex medical issues and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Effectively communicates with patients and family members by actively listening and conveying complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner.
Motivates caregivers and colleagues with a shared vision and enthusiasm to achieve better outcomes for themselves, their department, and patients.
Serves as a mentor to caregivers and colleagues.
