High-quality care you know and trust

Most caregivers who staffed the UD emergency room have accepted positions at other PeaceHealth locations, including Cottage Grove and RiverBend. Along with these staffing changes, we’ve updated how patients will be seen. These adjustments will allow us to care for more people efficiently and compassionately.

Here’s what else you can expect:

  • An extended-hours urgent care clinic opening in the University District this winter. Offering these services in a central Eugene location will help PeaceHealth better serve the downtown and University of Oregon communities, especially people without vehicles.
  • Behavioral health services will remain on the University District campus. We know that Eugene residents depend on us for mental health care. That is why the inpatient unit will stay at UD, along with our intensive outpatient treatment. We are also working to add behavioral health services to our newly relocated urgent care clinic at University District.

Community care resources

PeaceHealth is committed to Lane County and to your care. The closure of the University District ER will not affect the medical services we offer at clinics throughout the Eugene-Springfield area. The following resources will help you plan for care.

Not sure where to go? Here’s a simple guide to help you get started. For more details, see these tips for matching your needs to a clinic or hospital.
